Hello and welcome to Poetry Alchemy Infusions, igniting the visionary within using the magic of poetry alchemy and supporting you to bring your vision into visibility in the world.
Hi, I'm Rionach Aiken, visibility mentor and founder of Poetry Alchemy. You can find me online at RionachAiken.com
Today I want to share with you a poem that I wrote in 2015, at the beginning of 2015. It was like a New Year's poem for me.
It's a poem that's very much about listening to your inner wisdom, your inner voice and the commitment that is required to follow that through. Often a fierce commitment. It's quite a scary thing to do.
So I want to share this poem with you today to honour my commitment to bringing my vision into visibility in the world through this new Poetry Alchemy Infusions podcast.
So here's the poem. It's called Vow and it's by myself, Rionach Aiken.
What if all were changed now?
What if the world opened at the touch of my pen
and laid itself bare before me?
What if the discipline of listening
was born in this moment
and each that arrives and arrives?
What if I followed that thread
on the page
to see how my life would unfold?
What if I made the vow
to be there,
see it through,
an oath it would pain me to break?
What if I bound my fate
to a voice that is real
and gave my word to the world?
What if all this was true?
I pledge my self and say I do.
So I want to offer this poem to you as a reminder to listen to that still quiet voice that we all have inside.
What visions is it whispering to you?
What does it want you to bring into visibility in the world?
And what commitment do you need to make to really show up fully for that?
This is really important work for the world today, because it needs the wisdom of the inner visions to be brought forward so that we can be the change that we want to see in the world.
So if you would like some help with this, because it's a scary path, get in touch with me and let me know.
I'd love to hear about your vision, your commitment and what it is that you want to bring into the world.
I look forward to connecting with you again soon.
